31 days of Halloween 🎃

One small Halloween thing every day in October.

Do it, keep a photo, and by the 31st you have a month worth keeping. No account, nothing leaves your phone.

On iPhone, October 1st

Free every October. Pro is $3.99, once.

One thing a day

Carve the pumpkin. Ghost stories by flashlight. Ugliest decorated cookie wins. Small things, one a day, all of October.

Keep one photo

Not a photo album. One picture from the day, if you want one. By the 31st you have a month without having tried to make one.

Every October you've had

Each year becomes a page you keep. Four years in, you can watch the same kid grow up in costume.

Fits your house

Apartment, no car, food allergies, tight month, no kids. Four questions at the start and the days adjust to suit you.

A few of the days

There are thirty-one. Nothing here needs buying anything you wouldn't already buy.

Carve the pumpkins

Newspaper down. Someone will lose interest at the scooping stage.

Ghost stories by flashlight

Lights off. One story each, made up on the spot. Under a blanket if the mood takes you.

Ugliest decorated cookie wins

Everyone decorates one. Everyone judges. The worst one gets a prize and a photo.

Walk the block after dark

Rate the decorated houses out of ten. Be harsh. Pick a winner.

Our October Pro

One-time $3.99. Every past October you've kept, a page for each person across the years, and exporting a year. This year is always free, in full.

Questions

What does Our October actually do?

It gives you one small Halloween thing to do each day in October. You do it, tap done, and keep a photo if you want to. On November 1 the month closes and becomes a page you keep, so next year you can look back at it.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in of any kind, and nothing you put in leaves your phone. Your photos, your names, and your month all stay on the device.

What if we miss days?

Nothing happens. There are no streaks, no broken chains, and nothing turns red. Nobody does all thirty-one, and the app is not built to make you feel behind. Skipping a day is a normal answer.

What if a day doesn't work for us?

Tap Swap for three alternatives, or write your own. The app also asks four short questions when you first open it -- where you're celebrating, who's in on it, what you do on the night, and anything to keep in mind -- and uses those to pick the version of each day that suits your household. You can change those answers any time in Settings.
